Author Event & First Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Weyenberg Library

The new Friends of the Weyenberg Library are thrilled to announce that award-winning local author, J. F. Riordan, will be the speaker at their first Annual meeting on September 21, 2023. Registration for the event is free to members and $15 for non-members. Advance sales only. Space is limited.
Ms. Riordan is the author of the four-book series, North of the Tension Line which takes place on Washington Island in Wisconsin. She also has two books of personal essays. The second book, But Still They Sing was just released in July of 2023.
J. F. Riordan has been called a “modern day Jane Austen”. Her lyrical prose and rich characters are a tribute to small town life and the beauty of the ordinary. Riordan celebrates the well—lived life of the ordinary man and woman with meticulously drawn characters and intriguing plots that magnify the beauty and mystery lingering near the surface of everyday life. Her essays are by turns insightful and personal, soulful and humorous and belong at the bedside of anyone in search of comfort and companionship of a human voice.
