Family Storytimes

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:30 AM from September 7 to December 15.
  • Winter/Spring 2022 Session will be on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30 AM from January 18 to May 25.
  • Storytimes include stories, finger plays, and songs. A responsible adult should be present. All ages are welcome! 
  • No registration is required, but please make sure storytime etiquette is followed. 
  • Storytime Etiquette & Rules:
    • The Frank L. Weyenberg Library follows CDC Guidelines for COVID precautions. At this time, masks are required indoors for everyone ages 2 and up. Please follow our social media accounts for current updates.
    • Storytime cushions will be spaced out prior to entry in the Tolzman Community Room.
    • Stamps will not be given out, but rather stickers will be provided for those that wish to have one.

'Tea with the Tooth Fairy' featuring Dr. Julie of Mequon Smile Design

  • Friday, February 11, 2022
  • Have a fun-filled morning with Dr. Julie reading some of her favorite books about teeth, and discussing some of the best oral health techniques. The morning will end with a fun craft of designing your own "Tooth Fairy" box. A box that can be placed under your pillow, which will patiently await for the day the "Tooth Fairy" awards you with money thanking you for taking care of your first set of teeth.

Make It! Craft Kits

Brown bag crafts to-go! Kits include most items needed to create a simple, fun craft! This fall, new kits will be available on the 2nd Friday of the month in the Library's front entrance.

Make It! STEAM Kits

Brown bag activity to-go! Each kit includes most items needed to complete a project or simple experiment at home! This fall, Make It! STEAM Kits will be available on the 3rd Saturday of the month for pick-up at the library! STEAM Kits are intended for early elementary aged children and their caregivers to work on together.

Saturday LEGO Club

  • Build up your creativity and LEGO skills at the library! Share ideas, work together, and make new friends. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend. Bring a friend, no registration required! 
  • Meets in the Tolzman Community Room from 1:30-2:30 PM on select Saturdays.

Monday LEGO Club

Crazy 8s Math Club - Winter/Spring 2022

  • Join Crazy 8s Math Club, where you'll build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess...it's a totally new kind of math club.
  • This 8-week session is for kids in Grades K-2 and meets after school from 4:30-5:30 PM on the following Mondays: 
    • March 7 & 14
    • April 4, 11 & 18
    • May 2, 9 & 16
  • Register now at the Children's Desk or call 262-242-2593 ext. 330. When you register, you are registering for all 8 weeks. Registration is limited to 12-14 children.

Parachute Play

  • Join us for an interactive and play-filled program featuring songs, rhymes and activities with the library's parachute! 
  • For ages 2-4 with a parent/caregiver. 
  • Registration is required as space is limited. To register, stop by the Children's or Adult Info Desk or call us at 262-242-2593 ext. 330. 
  • Meets the Second Monday of the Month at 10:00 AM.

Super Smash Bros. Tournament

  • Tuesday, March 22 from 1:30 PM -4:00 PM
  • A single-elimination tournament for young Smash Bros. enthusiasts. Participants will be divided into two divisions – one for players 11 and younger, and one for ages 12-17, with fun Nintendo prizes for the winner of each division. Registration is required, so contact us at 262-242-2593 ext. 330 or by stopping at the Adult Info or Children's Desk to reserve your spot!

Family Game Board Demonstration

  • Thursday, March 24 from 2:30-4:30 PM
  • Ever wanted to try out a new board game but been confused by complicated rules? Want to get a look at the library’s game collection before you decide what to check out? Drop in to this test-out session and take a look at what we’ve got! Board games for all ages from kids to adults will be available, and a staff member will be on hand to help explain rules and facilitate gameplay.

May the 4th Be With You!: A Star Wars Day Party

  • Wednesday, May 4 from 4:15-5:30 PM
  • A party for preschool through elementary-age kids in celebration of May 4th, Star Wars Day! Participate in Star Wars-themed games and activities and browse a selection of Star Wars books for all ages. All attendees will receive a soft foam lightsaber to wield in our lightsaber training area and a take-home goodie bag of tasty galactic treats. Costumes are encouraged!
