'Back to Camp' Movie Matinees 

  • Head back to summer camp with a classic kids’ movie! Grab a seat in the Tolzman Community Room for a special showing of a children's movie!

Family Storytimes

  • Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30 AM from January 18 to May 25.
  • Storytimes include stories, finger plays, and songs. A responsible adult should be present. All ages are welcome! 
  • No registration is required, but please make sure storytime etiquette is followed. 
  • Storytime Etiquette & Rules:
    • The Frank L. Weyenberg Library follows CDC Guidelines for COVID precautions. Please follow our social media accounts for current updates.
    • Storytime cushions will be spaced out prior to entry in the Tolzman Community Room.
    • Stamps will not be given out, but rather stickers will be provided for those that wish to have one.

Hodge Podge Tuesdays

  • Calling all creative crafters! Join us at the library on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:30 PM and make something cool and crafty to take home. 
  • June 14, July 12, August 9
  • For ages 5-12.

Insect Ambassadors

  • Wednesday, June 29 at 1:00 PM
  • Join us at the library for a presentation on insects from the Insect Ambassadors of UW-Madison! Learn cool facts about insects, such as reasons why insects are good and bad, ways that insects survive in a world full of predators, ways that insects communicate with one another, and much more! There will be live insects to see during the presentation. 
  • Presentation is geared towards children ages 3 and up. 
  • Registration is required for this event and can be done in-person or by calling the Children's Desk at 262-242-2593 ext. 330.

Little Scientists

  • Meets the 3rd Monday of the Month at 10:00 AM.
  • June 20, July 18, August 15
  • With their inquisitive natures and drive to explore the world around them, kids make natural scientists! At each session of Little Scientists, you and your child will get the materials you need to create simple – but fun and educational – effects. 
  • For ages 2-4 years old. 
  • Register for a session at the Children's Desk, Adult Info Desk or by calling 262-242-2593 ext. 330. 

Mini-Golf @ the Library: All Ages

  • July 9 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Golfers of all ages are challenged to complete a 9-hole Mini-Golf Course set-up throughout the library! 
  • Groups of 2-6 can register for a tee time on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groups will start every 15 minutes. Last tee time is 1:30. 
  • Any group with children 5th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the library will be open during this event!

Miss Jamie's Farm

  • Wednesday, July 20 at 1:00 PM
  • Sing, dance, laugh and learn about life down on the farm with Miss Jamie and her puppet animal friends! Kids use the power of their imagination to help with the chores, plant and harvest the crops, and pretend to be pollinators and more in this interactive musical show that’s fun for kids and grownups alike! 
  • Perfect for ages 3-7, but younger and older children will enjoy the show as well.

Miss Kim's Amazing Animals

  • Wednesday, August 10 at 1:00 PM
  • Have you ever wondered how a chinchilla takes a bath or what a bearded dragon likes to eat? Join us at the library to find these answers out and more, during Ms. Kim's Amazing Animals presentation! It is sure to be an unique experience that is entertaining and educational!

Monday LEGO Club

  • Build up your creativity and LEGO skills at the library! Share ideas, work together, and make new friends. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend. Bring a friend, no registration required!  
  • Meets in the Tolzman Community Room from 4:00-5:30 PM on the last Mondays of the month.

Saturday LEGO Club

Storytimes on the Lawn

  • Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30 AM from June 14 through August 17.
  • Storytimes include stories, finger plays, and songs. A responsible adult should be present. All ages are welcome! 
  • No registration is required. Bringing blankets or lawn chairs is encouraged.

Switch Days!

  • Meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 4:30 PM.
  • June 22, July 27, August 24, September 28, October 26, November 23, December 28
  • Drop in, meet fellow players, and try out some multiplayer games on the library’s Nintendo Switch! For children in grades 3-6.

Unlock the Box

  • June 20, July 18 & August 15 at 3:00 PM
  • Do you love to follow clues and solve puzzles? Unlock-the-Box is an opportunity for children entering grades 2-5 (2022-2023 school year) to work as a team to beat the clock and open the box before it’s too late! 
  • This program uses BreakoutEDU to provide a fun, educational experience for all involved. 
  • Registration is required for this program as space is limited. Stop at the Children's desk, the Adult Info Desk or call us at 262-242-2593 ext. 330 to register.

Untidy Thursdays

  • June 16, July 14 & August 18 at 10:00 AM
  • Join us for a morning of sensory art exploration and creation! This process-oriented art program is intended as an open-ended exploration of the various art materials provided. We can't wait to see what you create! 
  • For ages 2-6. 

Make It! STEAM Kits

Brown bag activity to-go! Each kit includes most items needed to complete a project or simple experiment at home! This fall, Make It! STEAM Kits will be available on the 3rd Saturday of the month for pick-up at the library! STEAM Kits are intended for early elementary aged children and their caregivers to work on together.

Crazy 8s Math Club - Winter/Spring 2022

  • Join Crazy 8s Math Club, where you'll build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess...it's a totally new kind of math club.
  • This 8-week session is for kids in Grades K-2 and meets after school from 4:30-5:30 PM on the following Mondays: 
    • March 7 & 14
    • April 4, 11 & 18
    • May 2, 9 & 16
  • Register now at the Children's Desk or call 262-242-2593 ext. 330. When you register, you are registering for all 8 weeks. Registration is limited to 12-14 children.
