Take & Make: Teen Crafts

  • Brown bag crafts to-go! Kits include most items needed to create a simple, fun craft! Kits will be available select Mondays this fall at the Adult Info Desk.
  • You or a parent can snap a picture of your creations and email them to us at teen@flwlib.org.

Beginning the College Search

  • Wednesday, February 23 at 6:00 PM
  • Join Liz Jackson from Galin Education to learn what sophomores and juniors can be doing now to prepare for the college application process. From planning your courses and your summer plans to when to start visiting colleges and writing essays, you will come away with a timeline of what to expect and how to make the most of your next years of high school.

Teen Exam Cram

  • Get out of the house and use the library's quiet study areas for Homestead finals. The library provides free wi-fi and "brain food" snack packs will be available in the library rotunda for pick-up! You provide your books and notes, and your own computer and charger if you like. Good luck with finals!

Community Sights: Teen Scavenger Hunt

  • March 1 - April 30
  • How well do you know Mequon and Thiensville? Up for a challenge? Use picture clues and complete activities at different locations around town for this community scavenger hunt. 
  • This program is open to those in grades 6-12 and is completed using the Beanstack app or website.  All who complete at least 6 activities will be entered into a prize drawing for a gift card to a local shop! Find more information at flwlib.beanstack.org or ask at the Adult Info Desk!

What's the Hullabaloo?

  • March 23 from 4:00-7:00 PM and March 25 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Spring Break games, crafts, a volunteer project, and more for Middle School & High School patrons. It’s your choice when you come, what you do, and how long you stay. This program is drop-in, but if you let us know you and a friend are coming we can make sure to have enough snacks! You can register online, in-person, or by phone if you choose.
