Dungeons & Dragons: Summer Campaign #1

  • Meets select Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 PM.
  •  Make friends and fight monsters! Join us of an ongoing, in-person Dungeons & Dragons campaign. No experience necessary. For ages 12-18. Registration required. To join the campaign, go to the Adult Info Desk or call us at 262-242-2593 ext. 320.

Family BINGO Night

  • 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM
  • Ready for some friendly competition? This summer join us for Family BINGO night at the library! Every round wins a prize, and best of all, it’s FREE! No experience necessary. 
  • Register everyone in the family who needs a playing board, spots are limited!

Unlock-the-Box: The One Where We're Trapped in the 90s

  • Friday, June 23 at 3:00 PM
  • Grab a friend and work as a team to beat the clock and solve the mystery before it’s too late. Do you love to follow clues and solve puzzles? Have you ever wanted to try an escape room? Then you’ll love BreakoutEDU! Come to the library for a fun-filled afternoon!
  •  This program is open to grades 6-12 and registration is required as space is limited!

Anime Club

  • July 6 & August 3 at 2:00 PM
  • Are you a young fan of anime, manga, JRPGs, or other Japanese pop culture? We’re planning an anime club, and we need your input on what you’d like to see from it! Come to these exploratory meetups to meet fellow fans, check out our manga collection, and let us know what fandoms and activities you’re most interested in. 
  • For grades 5 and up.

Mini-Golf at the Library: All Ages

  • Friday, July 14 at 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Golfers of all ages are challenged to complete a 9-hole Mini-Golf Course set-up throughout the library! 
  • Early registration is not available. Tee times assigned upon arrival, and there may be wait times based on demand. Groups of 2-6 will start every 5-10 minutes. Last tee time is 1:30pm. 
  • Any group with children 5th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Please note that the library will be open during this event!

Bad Art Night

  • Thursday, July 20 at 6:00 PM
  • What is bad art? Come, bring a friend, and create something bad, whatever you believe that is. Snacks, materials, and bad art ideas provided. 
  • This open-ended art program is for grades 6-12 and registration is required as supplies are limited!

Battle of the Books: Summer Edition

  • Thursday, August 10 at 6:00 PM
  • The Frank L. Weyenberg Library Battle of the Books is open to students who will be in 5th-8th for the 2023-2024 school year. Teams can consist of 2-4 players. 
  • You do not have to be a resident of Mequon-Thiensville to participate in the event. 
  • Register May 8-July 7; in-person at the reference desk or online under the Battle of the Books events page. 
  • Each team needs an Adult Team Manager. The Team Manager will be responsible for making sure the books are read, scheduling practice sessions if needed, and will be the contact person between the team and the library. A team must have a Team Manager at time of registration. 
  • Each team is responsible for reading all the books on the attached Book List. It is not necessary for each team member to read all the books. Copies of the books are available at The Frank L. Weyenberg Library or through the Monarch Library System.

Open Mic Night

  • Tuesday, August 15 at 6:00 PM
  • Calling all singers, poets, and storytellers. Come show off your talents at the library’s open mic night. Sign up is available beforehand, but also available at the event. Audience participation welcomed.
