Introduction To Traditional Chinese Culture and Its Renaissance

Thursday, January 17, 2019

Do you ever wonder why Chinese people have to wear red for their New Year celebration? Do you know why cat is not in the Chinese Zodiac? Do you know why Chinese culture is the only culture that has continuous 5000 years of written records? If you are interested in any of the questions, please join us for a fun filled event about Chinese New Year celebration, zodiac, traditional Chinese culture and its on-going renaissance – Shen Yun (A classic Chinese dancing show). Complimentary tea and almond cookies served.

The program speaker is Cathy Yin.  She was born in China and came to the United States to attend graduate school in 1991 and is now employed as an Engineer.  Cathy and her husband have two boys together.  In her spare time, Cathy likes to travel, dance, read, listen to music and is a member of Toast Masters. Cathy's new passion is meditation.
